The Malaysian National Population and Family Development Board (LPPKN) recently decided to close all its centres, leaving thousands of vulnerable women without access to sexual and reproductive health services including family planning, for the duration of the Movement Restriction Order.
This action is in direct contradiction to #UN and #WHO guidance which emphasized the importance of sexual health and reproductive services during this time of crisis. It’s inconceivable how the Malaysian government is looking at family planning as a non-essential service especially during the time we need it the MOST.
